At 5:00 p.m. local Sept. 27th, an ACRI delegation of eight people attended the 2017 WRA Conference of Directors of the World Refractories Association (WRA) in Santiago, Chile, including ALARFA, Representatives from the Association of European Refractories, PRE, TRI, IRMA and Japan Association of Refractors (JRA) To attend a meeting.

 

    The meeting was chaired by Ms. Simona Vackeova, Secretary General of the World Refractories Association (WRA). President Francois Wanecq, President of Vesuvius Group, delivered a welcoming address. In his speech, he reiterated the purpose of the association. The antitrust law is the relevant provisions of the enterprise competition law, which further clarifies the responsibilities and obligations of the member associations.

 

    The updated charter of associations, the composition of the council's council and the budget for 2018 were announced with global refractory statistics, production safety data and the main work of the Task Force on the revision of customs codes for refractory materials. And discuss the future direction of development, including updates on the World Refractories Association website activity, existing refractory dictionaries, and open online technical papers. During the Association member representatives made a report on the development of the regional refractory industry.
